      Adding Videos to Perch Exercises

      Demonstrate your movements to your athletes within the Perch app!

      Using Perch Plan on the weight room floor or on the Perch mobile app can be extremely beneficial for a number of reasons. It can allow you to use the app more efficiently as well as take away a lot of the questions that athletes may have around what they're supposed to be doing on the weight room floor.

      Adding Videos to Exercises

      1. Create a video that displays what you'd like to show to your athletes and put it on YouTube, or find an existing YouTube video that displays it. Copy the URL for the video - here's an example of a valid YouTube link:
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg9vgQdalcQ
      2. Log into the Perch web app and navigate to your Plan library.
      3. Click on the Exercises tab and select the three dots and the Edit option next to the exercise for which you'd like to add a video, OR click on the blue "+Create New" button in the top right corner of the page and select Exercise.

                                                   
      4. In the pop up, enter the URL copied in step one above into the "Video URL" line. 
        **This will only work with YouTube videos at this time.
      5. Hit the Save button in the bottom right hand corner of the pop up.
      6. When looking at the exercise in your list, you should see a white Play button that will show you the video you entered into the exercise.


        You can add a video to any exercise in your catalog, whether it's a default exercise added by Perch or a custom exercise that you added yourself! You can add videos for both tracked and untracked exercises as well.

      Looking at Videos on the Perch App

      1. Once the exercise in the section above has been added to a published program or workout, activate that program or workout on the tablet. To learn more about how to do that, look at our guide here!
      2. Click on the exercise name with the program or workout activated - this will take you into a new screen.
      3. Click play on the video!
        **You must be on app version 1.67.0 and above to use this functionality.
